Dixieland Farm is a 3 Mega-house farm located in Horton, Alabama. Currently growing a 7 lb bird for Tyson Foods Albertville on a 49 day grow out. Two of the 66x500 houses were built in 2012 and one in 2014. This farm is VERY well maintained.
There is a 2,000 sq ft brick home, a 40x60 shop with an attached 1 bedroom apartment, a 40x100 litter shed, composter, hay fields/pasture.
The poultry houses are equipped with Enhanced Rotem Platinum Plus Controllers, Dutchman feeders, Plasson drinkers, Acme Fans, Spray-foamed walls, and batt insulation in the ceilings. There are two water wells and the farm has Natural Gas.This is a super nice farm in a great poultry farming location. If you have been looking for a farm that put it all together, this is a great one.No visitors are allowed on the farm unless a PoultrySouth Team Member is present. All visitors must be prequalified to schedule a farm visit. A PoultrySouth Team Member can assist you with qualifying. There will be no entry into the poultry houses while birds are present. Inside viewing of the houses can be arranged at the appropriate time. This farm is a bio secure area.
