Red Oak Farm is a 3 MEGA-house farm located in Horton, Alabama. Currently growing a 7 lb bird for Tyson Foods Albertville on a 49 day grow out. These houses are 66×500 houses, two were built in 2012, and one in 2014. The farm has a potential gross annual income of around $300,000 with a recent raise. The farm is located in the Horton postal zip code but is also near the community of Snead, AL.
There is a 2,000 sq ft brick home with an enclosed garage and an above ground pool. The home is move in ready and sits a distance away from the poultry houses.
A 40×60 shop with an attached 1 bedroom apartment is also on the farm. The apartment is a great place for catch nights, hired help, or an area for guests to stay. The farm has fenced pastures, mature timber, and open hayfields.
The poultry houses are equipped with Enhanced Rotem Platinum Plus Controllers, Dutchman feeders, Plasson drinkers, Acme Fans, Spray-foamed walls, and batt insulation in the ceilings. There are two water wells and the farm has Natural Gas. These houses also have a gravel bio security belt around the houses for ease of maintenance and bio security. A 40x100 litter shed has compost bins as well as a large lean to shed.Tyson has looked at the farm for an expansion and would consider adding more houses on this farm.
