Walker Farms is a well maintained Breeder Poultry Farm with four 40' x 500' houses in Dale County, Alabama. Two houses were built in 2011 and connected with shared cooler room and office. Both use chain feeders. Another two houses were built in 2013 with individual cooler/collection egg rooms and pan feeders. All houses use plastic slats, Rotem Platinum Plus controllers, and Total Radio 24/7 call-alert notification system. The farm is contracted with Pilgrim's Pride, has two diesel generators with adjacent storage sheds, two incinerators with 250 gallon diesel fuel tanks and 16 acres to be sold with the farm. No known upgrades are required at this time .Pilgrims has offered a 3 cent increase in our hatch egg pay for a conversion to LED lighting and white painted walls.
Farm is managed with extensive record-keeping including reconciled inventories, feed conversions,hatch rates, income, expenses, bonus calculations and more.
Farm employs full-time manager with 25+ years experience in the poultry breeder business and part-time family members for egg collection. Farm manager and his family live in residence and handle all day-to-day operations including feeding, alarm response, general maintenance, egg collection, clean-up and more.
Updates for the farm have been quoted at $150,000.00+/-. This includes the LED lights to receive the incentive pay for LED Lights. Projected Gross Annual Income is $325,000.00.
