April 7, 2022 (Dadeville, AL) – Robert King, with Southeastern Land Group in Dadeville, AL, was recognized as the Realtors^® Land Institute’s APEX 2021 National Broker of the Year for Agribusiness Sales. The award recognizes the applicant with the highest qualifying production volume in agribusiness land sales.

King received the award from RLI CEO Aubrie Kobernus, MBA, RCE, as well as The Land Report Co-founder Eric O’Keefe on Thursday, March 24, during RLI’s 2022 National Land Conference in San Antonio, TX, at a dinner that included special guest Jamey Clement, Retired Chairman of the Board of Texas’ King Ranch, the nation’s largest ranch at 825,000 acres.

“This award is given to me, but it has taken an entire team. Our PoultrySouth Team at Southeastern Land Group really made this happen. Thank you to each and everyone of them that put in the work everyday.” 

King said upon receiving the award.

King has been in the land-selling business for over 20 years.  In that time he has sold land throughout Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.  King calls Clay County home and is the 5th generation on his family farm there.  He has the experience and the knowledge that land sellers need.  King knows the market and who the likely buyer group is for the types property he deals in.  He has been with Southeastern Land Group since 2003 and has helped farmers, investors, land-holding companies, timber companies, those needing to settle estates, and other good folks of the region sell thousands upon thousands of acres of land.  King can help be the steady hand to guide you through the land sales process.

The APEX Awards celebrated its fifth year by continuing to boom, with 203 applicants (+45% over 2020) totaling a combined $8.4 billion in qualifying production volume (+240%) representing 8,696 sides. All land professionals recognized as part of the RLI APEX Awards Program are active members of RLI and had at least $5M of qualifying production volume in closed land sales in 2021.
