Carson's family has farmed Eastern North Carolina since 1740. Nearly three centuries later, he still lives on that same ground — in Newton Grove, with his wife Kayla and their two children, Colton and Mary Elizabeth. That connection to the land isn't a line in a bio for Carson. It's the reason he does this work.

For more than 15 years, Carson has valued agricultural real estate across the Carolinas — poultry and swine operations, farmland, timberland, and rural properties most appraisers never learn to read correctly. He has worked directly with producers and managed agricultural construction and grower relationships, which means he understands what a farm earns and what it costs to run, not just what it sells for.

He is a past president of both the Carolinas-Virginias Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and the North Carolina Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Today he still farms, running a 6,300-head swine finishing operation alongside his father. When a grower describes a problem to Carson, he isn't hearing it secondhand.

Carson is a member of Newton Grove Methodist Church, where he serves on the Board of Trustees. Off the farm, he's usually with his family at the North Carolina coast, on the boat, or on an ATV.
