Josh and Mary Shumate combine real-world poultry farm experience with a passion for helping others navigate important land decisions. Longtime residents of North Alabama, they have spent more than two decades owning and operating a successful broiler poultry farm while raising their family.

Josh holds degrees in Poultry Science and Business from Auburn University, giving him a unique ability to evaluate both the operational and financial sides of poultry farms. His experience working with multiple integrators provides valuable insight into what makes a farm successful.

Mary brings over 20 years of experience as an occupational therapist, along with deep involvement in agriculture and farm life. Her background allows her to guide clients with patience, care, and strong attention to detail — especially during major life and financial decisions.

Together, they offer a balanced, knowledgeable approach to real estate as part of The PoultrySouth Team at Southeastern Land Group, helping clients across North Alabama and the Southeast buy and sell poultry farms, farmland, and rural properties with confidence.
